Roadmap
Vane's roadmap is organised in three phases rather than dates. It describes intent, not commitments: scope and order can change, and any change will be communicated on @VaneGiwa (opens in a new tab).
Phase 1: Pre-launch#
This is the current phase.
- Showcase site, simulator and documentation. Available now. The simulator runs on illustrative inputs only.
- Contracts in development. The contracts are being written and are not deployed.
- Yield venue selection and announcement. The yield source is to be chosen and announced, together with how much is kept liquid and how interest is measured.
- Audit status published. Audit status is to be published before deposits open.
- Token details prepared. Supply, allocation, staking and the boost formula for $VANE are to be prepared for announcement.
Phase 2: Mainnet day#
Deposits are planned to open at GIWA mainnet launch. GIWA Chain is an Ethereum layer 2 built with the OP Stack; its mainnet is not live yet (see the GIWA documentation (opens in a new tab)).
- Contracts deployed on GIWA mainnet.
- Addresses published. Contract addresses are to be published in these docs and on @VaneGiwa.
- Deposits open. The first blades can be opened, and wheels start to fill.
What is intended to be public before deposits open#
| Item | Where it is described |
|---|---|
| Yield venue, liquid portion and interest measurement | Yield source |
| Audit status | Security and risks |

Phase 3: After launch#
- Governance activation. $VANE holders voting on term length, protocol fee level and supported stablecoins.
- $VANE utility. Boost, buy-and-burn and governance, as announced on @VaneGiwa.
- Additional stablecoins. New deposit assets added through governance.
- Interface improvements. Continued work on the website and the tools for managing a wheel.
